The windshield is most likely glued or connected to the frame of the vehicle with some kind of sealant. It has to be removed from the frame carefully, cut free, as a whole or in as few pieces as possible.
Now, the installation of your windshield. A primer must be applied to the frame a left to dry. Once the primer is dry, a strong glue is applied to this area. The windshield will be carefully fit into place and the combination of these two substances, the primer and the glue, will create a tight fit and will seal the windshield into place. The windshield will need to sit and wait for the glue to dry. This usually take about an hour.
